Now we’re going back to find a really great song.
It’s a throwback song for Throwback Thursday, but there is a chance you may not have heard this one before.
Let’s go back all the way to 1996…
In the early Fall that year you probably remember hearing Strawberry Wine on the radio. I remember it well because a lot of country fans were talking about it. It seemed like that song touched all kinds of people.
It was catchy. It was about first love and all the emotions that go on with that first in life.
Deana Carter kind of burst on the scene with that song. She would go on to have more hits from that debut record Did I Shave My Legs For This?
It looks like there were five singles from that record including three number ones, but if you look at the single list you won’t find I’ve Loved Enough To Know on it.
This song was the first one on the record. And it was an album as you’ll see below. It looks like the album came out in 1998 so it could have just been something for CMT to play until Deana was ready with her followup album.
I don’t remember if this one got played much at CMT back then. I watched a lot of CMT back in those days, but don’t remember this video. And I don’t think the song was played on radio.
But I do remember that my mom had the record and I played it a few times and this song always stood out. It was catchy…well I guess still catchy today.
It’s got that uptempo feel and it’s about a woman that knows that if she goes down this road with the guy that it’ll just end up in heartbreak.
A great song still today and a fun one to look back on almost 20 years later.
