The Avett Brothers may have a hit on their hands.

The weird songs out there are starting to grow on me. There has always been the bluegrass and folk genre within country or they have been on their own, but because they are cousins there are country fans that love bluegrass and folk. I’m not sure how to categorize The Avett Brothers. Right now I’m just categorizing them under the label of good music. Check out this new video.

Live and Die – The Avett Brothers

This song is really fun. The melody is the first thing that jumps out at me. The band has a really cool way of making their unique sound come off as interesting. That is great about new bands. If they have something that’s catchy people will really attach to it if the melody works and in this case I think it works really well.

From what I can tell this is a love song. I think it’s about a guy that wants a girl to love him as much as he loves her. I’m not entirely sure. The song seems to have a positive feeling about it and it works well. I think people like to feel good and like to feel like kids in love. We all have those moments in life where we remember our first love or remember what it was like to be new in love.

So it turns out The Avett Brothers have been around for a decade. They’ve released tons of music and in the last few years they’ve really started to come on strong. It looks like they’re getting tons of play on the country video channels with this new song and I can see why. It’s a great song and great video. When you have something catchy people will pay attention and listen.

I think The Avett Brothers may have the biggest song of their career.
