Everything by Thompson Square

Thompson Square

Thompson Square is back with an ultra-catchy new single.

Hot country duo Thompson Square has been on a big run the last couple years.

They’ve had some big hits and have successfully moved into their second album. The first single reached #1 on the charts and the followup sounds every bit as good.

I was hoping this one would become a single after hearing it for the first time. After you hear it I’m sure you’ll know that it sounds like a hit.

Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About – Thompson Square

The only thing I would change about this song is the title. They should have went old school country on this one with Everything (I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About) so bloggers wouldn’t have to write the entire thing.

Just kidding.

What a great song, right?

Catchy always does well on country radio and this one sounds like a smash. It’s the perfect play for a duo that’s already in love and living what seems to be a great life.

People hear this kind of connection on record and they want to feel the same way. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to find someone that you love this much. Who doesn’t want to have these kinds of thoughts? It’s all in fun.

I think this is a good change up for Thompson Square. They’ve had fun songs in the past, but this one is really fun and really sexy. It’s that kind of romantic song that will make you smile.

People will be grooving to this one all summer.

And one quick side note – the duo teamed with David Lee Murphy for this song. He’s had a hand in writing a few of their other songs including their breakthrough hit Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not?. Great artist and great songwriter.

What do you think?

Chart Estimate: #5

CML Points: 85/100
