It’s time for a slow song.
After two mid to up tempo songs, Thompson Square is ready to slow down.
The duo’s fourth single, Glass, is ready for radio. The single hits the airwaves just as Thompson Square is coming off their second top ten hit. The new track is sure to follow the lead of its predecessors.
Glass – Thompson Square
The song, Glass, seems to be about two people that have fallen in love.
They see the good and bad in each other. They know they’re both fragile, beaten down by a few things in their past. They are together now and they know that things might not work out, but they’re willing to try to love each other.
It’s a great love song. To go into a relationship knowing that neither of you are perfect and understanding that something could give at any moment. That’s the definition of giving in to each other and falling in love. That’s what it’s like knowing that it’s all a chance and that in order to find happiness you’ll have to take that chance with this person.
Sometimes you just have a feeling that this could be the person for you. There are risks. There are probably people telling you that it’s not the right situation or the right person for you, but you don’t care. You feel something and even if you’re glass you know there is a chance.
Thompson Square has really come on strong in the last couple years. They’re part of a small record label and already have two of the biggest hits in country music over the last two years. They should pick up and maintain momentum with Glass.
This song should carry the duo through this debut album and set things up well for a new album to come out perhaps later in 2012.
This is one of the best acts in country right now. They’re unique. They have a cool sound that’s different and interesting.
And they have songs like Glass that are great.
