Toby Keith has never shied away from being a guy’s guy.
Toby also sings plenty of songs about drinking beer and shooting guns. Should’ve Been A Cowboy saw Toby wishing he was back in the old west carrying his six shooter. Beer For My Horses saw Toby Keith and Willie Nelson playing detectives wielding guns to hunt down the bad guys. And there is I Love This Bar where there is always drinking and even a few guns present. Even Toby Keith’s new song Trailerhood covers a setting where beer and guns are present.

Here is what Toby told GACTV for Toby Keith Reloads His “Gun”:

For years Toby has been the go to guy in country music for guy songs. Most country music today is made for women around the ages of 25 to 40. Some of this music is great, but the guys need a little attention as well. I always look forward to new music from Toby since he knows how to sing songs guys can relate to. Sure he throws a bone to the ladies every once and a while, but it’s his guy songs that stamped his mark on country music.
Keep it comin’ Toby.
