Last year things got really interesting for Craig Campbell. He was riding high with a big top fifteen hit with Keep Them Kisses Coming. But then his label announced that they couldn’t keep the doors open any longer.
Talk about tough luck!
It wasn’t anyone’s fault. It was just the way things worked out. But the good people involved kept on working, seemingly for free, to push the song into the top ten; Craig’s first.
In the wake the question on people’s minds was what label would get Craig. That was answered when Broken Bow signed him to their Red Bow label; the same as Joe Nichols.
And now we have a new single.
Tomorrow Tonight – Craig Campbell
Craig continues to show his ability to find great songs. I’m not sure if he’s written this one. I know he’s kind of mixed in his own along with some others on his first two records.
The song is a love song, but it’s got a great melody and the lyrics have a great hook. My interpretation is that the song is about getting lost in the moment with someone that you love. It’s hard not to think forward about what the night might mean or about all the things you have going on tomorrow.
But if you can let go of those thoughts on the future you can enjoy the here and now. You can enjoy the feelings of being with someone you care about.
That’s what it’s all about. Great song.
