Trace Adkins Gets Down and Dirty

Trace Adkins Brown Chicken Brown CowTrace Adkins has a quirky side.

Every so often in his career Trace has released a song that’s a bit of a head scratcher. There was of course Honky Tonk Badonkadonk along with a couple others. Trace decided to get back to his fun and quirky side with his latest single. It’s all about having fun and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Trace Adkins’ latest single is Brown Chicken Brown Cow and it’s hilarious if you don’t take it to heart. Brown Chicken Brown Cow is one of those songs that makes you smile. I remember hearing the album for the first time all the way through and just laughing at this song. It takes a guy with no regards for what others think to put this out. He risks being slaughtered by critics, but Trace obviously knows his fans love this kind of fun country music.

It’s almost a given this song is going to be a huge hit. For me it’s one of those songs you kind of turn up when it comes on the radio in the truck…when you’re alone. Brown Chicken Brown Cow is the song I’ll change the channel to if I’m in a room with a lot of people. I’ll want to listen, but it makes me feel weird that I like it. That’s probably my own problem, but I know plenty of people will crank this up no matter what the setting.

I’m not saying this song makes it all the way to the top of the country charts, but I have a feeling country fans are ready for some laugh out loud fun and this song certainly accomplishes that. There will be plenty of dancing in the honky tonks come summer when this tune is riding high.

What do you think?
