After 15 years in country music, Trace Adkins shook things up by teaming with Toby Keith on Toby’s own label partnership Show Dog-Universal Music. Toby Keith and Trace Adkins make for a powerful pair as they now reside on the same label.

Trace’s first album for Show-Dog Nashville is Cowboy’s Back in Townand it’s set to hit stores on Tuesday August 17th. The set is sure to include the types of songs Trace has become known for over his successful career: rocking guy songs with a few passionate ballads mixed in.

The first single from the album is already in the top 30 on the charts. This Ain’t No Love Songis a rocking tune about a guy falling in love, but not willing to sing a love song about it. Trace Adkins is a guys’ guy and this is one of those songs both men and women can like.

Trace will play the leader of a biker gang in the movie and even he thinks it’s a part he can handle:

“It’s not a stretch,” he observed. “I’m the leader of a biker gang — hell, I can do that!”

So Trace has a full schedule coming up in the near future. Fans should expect much success from Trace in his musical future. While Toby Keith has found success on his own label, the country singer has struggled to launch the career of other artists. By merging with successful label Universal South and bringing in Trace Adkins there is sure to be some noise coming from Show Dog-Universal Music.
