Travis Tritt has been pretty quiet on radio for the last six years. He’s been caught up in a legal battle with his former record label. Travis eventually came out on top, but it left fans really wanting more new music.
Travis first wanted to give the record a proper release so he re-released it this summer. The first single was a duet with his daughter, which was great.
Otherwise, the songs on the album are the same, but the new release has given fans like me a chance to hear discover some of those original tunes including this one.
Travis Tritt – Doesn’t The Good Outweigh The Bad
This is a pretty cool song. Travis has always had that kind of bluesy style that differentiated him from other artists. That was the case back in the ’90s and it’s still the case today. There really isn’t anyone doing this kind of thing out there. Maybe Billy Currington on occasion.
Travis is a true one of a kind out there in the world of country. It’s great to have him back.
The song is about a couple that’s trying to figure out their lives together. They’re going through some bad things, but they’re trying to make sure that good outweighs the bad in the end.
It’s a great lyric, but even more important is the great melody. This is a catchy song that I can’t get out of my head.
