Jon Pardi has been fighting for his place in country music for at least the last couple years. He’s had two songs on the charts. The first one cracked the top 30 and the second one cracked the top 10. It seems like he’s on a little bit of a roll right now and this song has been growing on me and it seems like country radio has been liking it to. Check it out and see what you think.
What I Can’t Put Down – Jon Pardi
At the core I would have to say this song is about addiction. There are some of us out there that have this same tendency to get addicted to different things. It could be booze. It could be love or it could even be music.
Some people can go through life giving different things a try. They pick it up and never feel the urge to again. Or maybe they pick it up just on occasion. That’s fine, but there are some of us that fall harder for things. We have a drink and we can’t stop or we fall in love and we jump completely in with everything we have.
That’s just the way it is and this is the anthem for those out there that struggle with addiction even just a little bit. I wasn’t sure how this song would play out. I didn’t review it right away when it first came out and I probably should have because now I’m really liking it. The chorus has a really good hook. When I’m in the car and this song comes on I always catch myself singing along.
It’s a good song and should be another solid hit for Jon.
