So I’ve been hearing this song on country radio the last few weeks. It surprised me at first and it still kind of does. But music is blending more and more these days and I see no reason why this kind of music can’t have a place in country. This is a band called Boiling Point. They’re definitely different from what you’re probably used to hearing, but give it a chance.
When You’ve Lost It All – Boiling Point
The sound is really what will catch you off guard. There are some big sounding bands like this in pop music right now. And there has always been this really big sound in pop music. I think back to the late ’80s when there were these really big anthems that came out. People always seem to have a place for songs like this including in country music.
I’m not sure how this one will do in the country world. It could have been a mistake that I heard it, but I thought it was cool enough to give it a listen. There are a few country acts that have tried things like this. Rascal Flatts has probably had the most success with it over the years so I think Boiling Point could have success.
The song seems to be about a breakup that has really had an impact on one person. I think that’s what it’s about, but it seems more vague than that. It could be about loss in general or about losing someone that’s really important to you in some way.
