So I’ve been going down the Luke Combs rabbit hole this week. It looked like he’s buddies with Tom O’Connor. And it looks like Tom and possibly Luke are also buddies with this guy: Tyler Reeve.
Tyler definitely has that Southern Rock Country thing going on with his voice. A little gritty. A little rocking. But totally in the country vein.
And from the sounds of his latest single it sounds like he also has a knack for good melodies.
White Girls, White Wine & Adderall – Tyler Reeve
There is a little Kacey Musgraves in this one. Kind of looking at the realities of life. We often look at the traditional things that have to do with love and all that.
But those usual things aren’t all that go on in life. A lot of things are a little uncomfortable and not usually spoken about. That’s where Kacey has been really good.
And this one seems to kind of look at a couple uncomfortable things in life. White girls. White wine and adderall. I’m still kind of listening to the lyrics a bit to get the full meaning.
I think it’s about a girl or girls this guy kind of admires. She or they may not be perfect, but that’s just fine with him.
She’s new to town. She likes to have a little wine. And she’s a little hyper at times.
This song is catchy. A little tongue-in-cheek. It’s good. I like it.
What do you think?
