Have you heard the new single from the hot duo The JaneDear Girls?

The single is Wildflower and it’s already in the top 40 on the country charts. The tune is full of spunk and attitude. While there is nothing new to see here within the lyrics it’s the melody and bad ass in the vocals that sets the song apart from just about everything else on the radio right now.

It’s easy to see the John Rich influence in this song. The country star served as producer on the track. Rich has written songs for rocking country artists like Gretchen Wilson and Jason Aldean. Those two are rocking country artists and Wildfloweris in the same vein as any song those artists have released over the past five years.

The JaneDear Girls are an interesting country duo that may have a chance of putting together a run of successful hits. It’s easy to see that there is nothing quite like them in country music right now and that can be a hit or miss depending on how willing the country audience is to accepting their brand of country music.

I like Wildflowerand think it fits in well with the attitude-packed rocking country of today. There seems to be a place for The JaneDear Girls in country today.
