When I first heard this song I thought the sound was interesting.
Then I saw the name of the band that was behind the song and I a question came to mind:
That name sounds familiar…who are these guys?
I am ashamed to admit I had to search for them and found that the Little River Band had nonstop hits in the US from the late ’70s through the ’80s. Look them up and you’ll recognize more than a handful of their songs.
And now the Australian band is back with a new album and they’re getting play on a variety of stations. They’re even out playing the radio circuit.
Here is a live performance of their new single.
You Dream I’ll Drive – Little River Band
This song is really good. You can hear the pop influences of the band. They know how to bring back those classic melodies. There was a reason this kind of music was popular back in the ’70s and ’80s; people loved the easy going feel.
It always seems to start with a good melody.
The story in the song is about two people that are feeling young and in love. They have the world at the tips of the fingers and they’re looking to see how far their love can go.
It’s a great song and even greater when you consider the source. The Little River Band have been around for years and it’s great to see them come back with such a strong song.
