LIfe gets busy sometimes.
When life overwhelms you it’s easy to want to be in paradise with no worries and no concerns. Work, family, a girlfriend, a boyfriend, all of these things can weigh on you from time to time. Even if we can’t really get away on a real paradise there are a few country songs out there to take us away and escape for a few minutes.
Knee Deep is a new track on the latest Zac Brown Band album. On their last album the guys had a few songs that had some island flavor. There were even a few critics that said the songs didn’t seem authentic – just an attempt to build a fanbase. I think the guys were just being themselves. Who doesn’t love to be in paradise?
Knee Deep sees the guys in the band heading out of town to get away from a few worries. Work, a girl, and other things in life have them down. They just want to get away and get knee deep in the water somewhere. The ocean, the boats, and the sun. It sounds like Jimmy Buffett’s paradise…
And that’s why the guys brought in Jimmy Buffett to create a really cool track.
The song is fun and upbeat. It’s a classic island kind of song. It could have been released way back in the ’70s or ’80s when Jimmy Buffett was releasing his classic albums.
I don’t know if Knee Deep will be a single, but it’s a song that will fit in perfect on any summer song playlist.
Check it out and let us know what you think.
