It was interesting when Hunter Hayes recently released his new single 21.
The song comes after only two singles from his sophomore album Storyline. It seemed unusual to move on that quickly from the album because there were a number of strong songs on it.
But this song maybe was too good to wait on. Let’s check it out.
21 – Hunter Hayes
This song is already burning up in the top 30 on the charts. I’ve been hearing it all the time on the radio. People are really loving this one.
The key here is that the song is incredibly catchy. It’s the perfect blend of pop and country and what country fans are after today. Hunter knows how to find those killer melodies and he’s done it again with this new one.
At first you think the song is about young kids and those that are having a good time at or around the age of 21. That’s the easy way to take it since Hunter is in his 20s.
But the reason I think so many country fans are listening to this one is that it can make them feel like having a night of being 21 again if they’ve had a few birthdays since that actually was the case.
And that’s kind of how the song was written too. It’s fun and it’s just a good song to rock out to for three minutes while you’re driving in the car or sitting at the desk at work.
A good song that should return Hunter back near the top of the charts.
