Country’s biggest stars gathered earlier this week and awards were handed out.

Some of the favorite artists from country including Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, and Toby Keith were awarded with the biggest awards. Toby even got the Artist of the Decade award, which was well deserved. Toby’s last ten years were incredible. Think about where he was around the turn of the century. Toby was fighting with his previous record label over his new album. The label didn’t want it yet they wanted their money back from Toby. So Toby paid for the album and it became a huge hit.

Toby never looked back and he’s still going strong.

Jason Aldean won Artist of the Year, which was also well deserved. I’ve made it no secret that Jason has been one of my favorite artists in 2011. Every song he’s put out has been huge and even the album cuts on My Kinda Party were awesome.

Carrie Underwood won female vocalist. There is buzz building around her and what she has in store for 2012. If you’re a Carrie fan you should be very excited. The news coming out is very exciting.

Gifts Seen at the Show

There were some gifts back stage that were enticing to the stars.

Many of the country stars autographed some great belt buckles, which will be given to Childhelp, a non-profit dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect, to auction off. You can have the chance to purchase the buckles at www.childhelp.org/metalcast on Dec. 9th.
