Alison Krauss & Union Station are everybody’s guilty pleasure, but the thing is people feel proud about their admiration. Nobody seems to hide the fact that they love this kind of bluegrass music. I remember ten years ago when the O Brother Where Art Thou came out and people were playing it like crazy. I specifically remember being a golf course when a 40 year old came rolled in and opened his door. There was bluegrass playing really loud on the speakers of his car. It was great.
My Love Follows You Where You Go – Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss and the band Union Station have been releasing great bluegrass and folk music for decades. This is another great song in a long line of great songs. The upbeat melody is there. The playing is fast just as you would expect from a classic yet modern bluegrass song. There is always something about their music that makes you want to listen.
The band nails that interesting aspect that just captures you attention for a few minutes. I always find myself enjoying the music no matter what it’s about and in this case it’s happened again.
I’m a big Alison Krauss fan. I’m probably not the biggest fan because I really only hear them when they’re on CMT, but when I do hear them I like it.
