As good as ever.
Lee Ann Womack is still out there holding the torch for traditional country music.
I kind of think there is a little movement in country right now with a few new traditionalists.
Bobby Bones thinks that country radio is turning into something like pop radio. Where you have little niches that make up the top 40 or 60 or whatever on the chart. A little room for everything. New and old.
Lee Ann might not have the radio potential anymore, but you never know. On this new single she sounds as good as ever.
All The Trouble – Lee Ann Womack
It’s always great to see artists that have accomplished so much still making new music. I think it shows that they really do love what they do. They love music. They love making music. They love making music they like.
Lee Ann has made no bones about loving traditional country. That’s been her style since the beginning. Sure, some of her songs crossed over, but they always had country roots.
This one is something a little new for her. Maybe even more than little bit new. It’s got a little darkness to it. Definitely some hard edge.
I’m still working my way through the lyrics on this one. I don’t know if it’s about a woman that’s already got enough drama in her life. Too much to take on a new guy or a new friend or a new person in her life. There’s just no room for anymore of that BS.
Can’t we all relate to that?
