The songs mostly seem to be about the lighter things in life, which is fine. I like the lighter side of life, but it’s also great to hear really good melodies set to some really meaty lyrics.

The story in the song is this guy that’s been going through life for a long time and all along the way he’s learned the lesson that one man’s treasure is another man’s gold. It’s really just a reflection on that lesson and the realization he has about the impact the lesson has had on his life.
In life it seems we’re all really similar in some ways, but we all have things that make us unique. We all cherish things that are the same, but we also cherish things that are different. That’s what makes us all individuals and it’s a pretty cool thing.
I love the song and this is also a showcase for Dean Brody. I have to admit that I haven’t heard his music before, but he’s a great country artist. He has a little traditional sound to his music and I like that. And he sure has a good song with a good video right here.
