Ashton Shepherd has new music!

After a three year wait there is new music in 2011 from Ashton Shepherd. The country artist came onto the scene with two top 20 singles and raving reviews for her work on her debut album. The songs on that collection were top notch. Ashton’s vocals have southern twang that shows her Alabama roots. And for the young mother and wife she the album proved to be her way into the hearts of country fans nationwide.

Look It Up is the new single from Ashton and this one is fun and light hearted. The song sees the narrator getting over a relationship. She’s done with things and moving on. There is a bit of fight and sass in the lyrics and vocals. Ashton sings about the ways her man never lived up to the words like forever, easy and liar.

It’s really a clever song and further proves Ashton’s is the real deal in country music right now. Her spirit for live and talent for music shows through in her songs. Look It Up could be on the way to the top of the charts. Her first few singles didn’t quite make it there, but Look It Up is the kind of song fans will keep requesting until DJs have no choice but to play it nonstop.

I can’t wait for Ashton’s new album to come out. This is the kind of country music I love – traditional sounding with plenty of authenticity in the vocals.
