This Is America by Ashton Shepherd

It’s always been amazing to me that Ashton Shepherd hasn’t become a superstar yet. She’s got one of the best country voices out there. When you first hear her sing you know she’s the real deal. To me she’s almost like the female version of Justin Moore and I’m a big Justin Moore fan.

Ashton and MCA parted ways. After two great albums things just didn’t seem to work out, but Ashton is out there on her own now. Hopefully she continues to gain more fans as she continues to release new music.

Ashton can really sing. That’s the first thing that stands out about this song. The melody is also killer. It’s really catchy and passionate. It’s something you instantly feel like singing along with as you listen.

It’s also a song about America and being proud of where you’re from. It’s an ambitious topic, but Ashton does well with it. It’s also a topic that has been done before, but you can tell this one is owned by Ashton because her voice is so unique. She really makes this work.

It’s a great song and one I hope doesn’t slip through the cracks. She’s one of the best artists out there.
