This is a good one. Sad, but a good one.
David Harbaugh is new for us at CML. He’s an independent artist out there trying to make things happen. An independent artist can do that with all the streaming services, YouTube and other outlets. They don’t need a major label to reach fans.
But usually they still need the majors to become big time stars. Maybe that will happen for David. This one seems to have a lot of good things going for it. Let’s check out the song and see what he’s got for us.
Baby You’re Gone – David Harbaugh
This is a good song. Many times with these songs you hear lots of good things. You wonder if the song was in the hands of an artist like Blake Shelton or Luke Bryan and their producers if it would be a hit at radio.
I think that David’s fans will for sure like this one. And I think he’ll pick up a few new fans as well.
It’s definitely a sad type of country songs. It’s about a girl that’s left a guy behind. I don’t know that we ever get the full story behind why she left, but that seems to be beyond the point at this song.
The guy is just kind of left behind. He was caught off guard a bit and now he’s just left reeling and wondering what to do next. His future plans have changed and now he has to mend his heart.
It’s catchy. It’s something many can relate to. I think a lot of people will like this one.
