This one’s gotta be a hit.
Rascal Flatts is on a little bit of a heater right now.
Back in the mid 2000s, the guys were on one of the biggest heaters in country music history. It’s difficult to keep up that kind of pace, but the guys had a great run.
Since then they’ve had hits here and there, but recently they’re coming off back to back number ones on the Billboard radio chart. And that’s a big deal.
Here is their next single. It sounds like another hit to me.

This is difficult to pull off. The guys have found a song that sounds like classic Flatts while also sounding fresh for today’s country listeners. I know that radio fans will hear this for the first time and not even know who Rascal Flatts are. But they’ll hear this song and become fans.
The theme here seems to fit the guys really well too. I think what’s going on in the lyrics is a struggle for a couple that’s been together for a long time. The guy is realizing that he hasn’t been the perfect significant other for a little while. But now he’s ready to get back to the person he was. He’s ready again to be the couple they were.
I think that’s something that happens naturally in relationships. It’s easy to get complacent. But relationships will always take a little work.
Great sentiment from the guys. And they pull it off with that great Rascal Flatts sound.
