Is it country? I don’t think it really matters because this is a really good song. I’m not really sure where to classify the song, but I think that’s okay too. Sometimes we have to just enjoy music the way it’s made without putting a label on it. If it sounds good and makes us feel something that’s the real way to classify it.

This is my first exposure to Emily West and I have to say that I’m impressed. Her voice is really unique. It has this quality that makes it sound timeless. She knows how to pull back on certain parts and it makes that powerful part in the chorus stand out even more.

The song is about a woman that is getting over a guy that’s she’s bee with. At least that’s what I think is going on in the song. She seems to have taken some time with him and maybe stayed just a little too long, but now she’s moving on and has no regrets about the decision.

You’ll have to listen and let me know if that’s wrong or right. Sometimes these songs can mean different things to different people.

But the song to me is really about the performance. I think it’s unique. It has a timeless pop music feel and it’s just a really good song that was done well.
