Lanco is one of the country music acts that really intrigues me. I can’t remember if they were signed to Arista a few years ago, but they had a couple songs on Spotify that caught my attention. My wife paid attention to and asked me about them.

And I’m sure we weren’t the only ones.

Then they put out their first single. It cracked the top 50. Then they put out Greatest Love Story and after a long climb it reached #1 on the charts.

Now they’re looking to follow that up with their important next single.

These guys just have a different, cool sound. I listened to the lead singer on the Bobby Bones podcast a few months ago and he seemed pretty cool. And they’re really a band. Splitting everything five ways. That’s not going to make it easy in today’s music industry, but they seem to really love the music.

This song has an interesting vibe. It’s not like anything on the charts right now. But it sounds really good and I think fans are going to latch onto it. They’re kind of like Old Dominion. Not the sound, but the fact that they’re different and appealing to a young audience.

It also intrigues me that they’re on Arista. That has been one of the powerhouse labels in Nashville, but they’ve been going through big changes. No more Alan Jackson or Brooks & Dunn. No more Carrie Underwood.

But they’re building some things up with Lanco and Cam.
