Have you heard this catchy new country song yet?
I finally realized I hadn’t covered this new one from Old Dominion yet.
I don’t think I’ve actually written about them at all yet on the blog here. They released a single last year and I don’t think I covered so that is my bad.
But here is their new single that has been slowly climbing the charts. It’s been playing all the time on The Highway on SiriusXM and it looks like it cracked the top 30 this week on the mainstream charts.
Break Up With Him – Old Dominion
It’s a love song that’s a little fun. Yeah, it’s kind of a weird situation where a guy is trying to tell a girl he likes that she needs to break up with her current boyfriend.
I guess it’s probably a common situation. Sometimes you never know when the person you’re meant to be with comes along and if you’re with someone else you have to make the call.
The killer part of this song is the melody. It’s incredibly catchy. You don’t even have to know what the song is about to sing along with this one. You’ll find it stuck in your head after the very first listen. I know that it happened to me and now when the song comes on I find myself turning up the volume a few notches.
It looks like the guys got picked up by RCA Nashville, which makes sense now that this song is really getting some strong play. I hope it continues to do well because these guys sound talented.
