Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton has something different for fans this time.

Blake Shelton is as big as ever in the country world. Obviously, he’s gone through changes in his personal life since the last time he put out an album. Country fans probably won’t know the details and it’s probably better that way.

We’re lucky to get to enjoy the music he’s putting out and this one is something different from Blake. I like it.

Came Here To Forget – Blake Shelton

The sound on this one is the first thing that stands out to me. Blake has always been good at finding new sounds that fit in well with what’s going on in country at the time. But he also finds a way to make each song his own so you know that it’s a Blake Shelton song.

There’s kind of an eerie feeling to this one. It’s kind of like a lounge song that you might hear at a quiet bar or club where you’re just having a drink. And I guess that makes sense with the lyrical story in the song.

It would be easy to read into the lyrics on this one. I don’t know about all that. I’m sure there is some truth to some things, but you can never tell for sure. I just kind of get caught up in the groove on this one. With every song we always kind of think about how the song can mean something for our own lives. In that case, this one can fit into a few situations including something you’re getting over.

I like it a lot.

What do you think of this one?

Chart Estimate: #1

CML Points: 87/100
