Lady Antebellum

Home for the holidays with Lady A.

It’s that time of year.

We’ll hear all the classic country country songs from years past. Country stars always do a great job with the classics. And we also usually get a few new country Christmas songs.

That’s what we get with this new one from Lady Antebellum.

Celebrate Me Home – Lady Antebellum

This one has a real soulful feel to it. The vocals are top notch as always. When Hillary sings you get that country flair, but when you hear the other vocals it really sounds like a soul record from the early ’90s or something. I can’t put my finger on it.

From what I can tell it’s about coming home for Christmas. I can’t quite figure out what the other meaning is with the Celebrate part of the song. You’ll have to fill me in.

I’m just getting caught up in the music part of it. There is plenty of piano, which is pretty cool for a country song.

As far as new and different Christmas songs go I have to say that I like this one. It seems original and fresh for a country Christmas record. I’m sure there will be a video for it and that will get lots of play as we move through the next few weeks.

What do you think?
