Christian Kane Lays Down The Rules

November 15, 2010 by Dayne Shuda 21 Comments

Christian KaneSo the song kind of starts out like the theme to Rosanne, but it comes around soon with plenty of attitude and country snot.

Christian Kane
has been working on a music career for a while and he’s finally starting to find some success with his debut single. The House Rulesis a rocking track with plenty of funky grooves.

This is simply a good timing song. Leave your troubles and cares at the door and let things go. This song is about having a good time with no strings, no worries, and no cares.

There is plenty to dislike in life these days. It’s refreshing to find a place to go where you can just kick back and enjoy life with some good people. It’s not healthy to always think about the downs in life.

Christian Kane has a unique sounding voice. He’s got some cred as an actor. He’s appeared on a few TV shows and still works there, but now he seems to be putting big time effort into his budding music career.

His first song is looking to crack the top forty on the country charts. It sounds like one of those tunes that can gain enough attention to kick off a career.

You totally get what the song & Christian Kane are all about. Good article, as a Kaniac I approve.

I’m new to Christian’s music, but I like this song. And I like the word “Kaniac”.

    Rock on guys.

When singing a ballad, Kane’s got the kind of husky, distinct voice that makes you prop your pink-painted toenails on the coffee table in front of you and sip wine by the light of a candle or two. Where you go in your daydreams from there is between you and the music.

When it comes to The House Rules, though, I defy even the most reluctant to keep from at least tapping their toes. Most likely, however, they’ll be out of their seats.

Christian Kane has been at this music thing for a long time, long before he got his first acting job. Let’s hope that now that he’s paid his dues the right folks are ready to sit up and take notice. Come on, radio stations, not only are new folks finding him every day, he’s got a loyal and established fan base of many.

Christian Kane’s energy is a “can’t help yourself but to shake what the Good Lord gave ya.” His talent is for real and what makes his music even more special is that you can tell he is having fun doing what he loves. Looking forward to hearing “The House Rules” on the radio waves and the full album release.

This song/video gets me through tough weeks at my job, and right now tough times with the family…It is a song that makes you just relax, say f-off, and just totally unwind.

I stumbled across Christian Kane’s music early this year and I haven’t stopped listening since. I’m starting to wonder if there is an auditory drug embedded in his tracks that turns people into Kaniacs! 😉 Great storyteller and the feeling always comes through. I love listening to music of all kinds, but Christian Kane is one of the rare ones that makes you feel music as well as hear it. Can’t wait for more!

I love this song! It just makes you feel good and forget about your troubles for a little while. Christian’s voice is what really makes it though. It is very distinctive and just wraps around you like a warm hug. I love all of his music and actually like his acoustic work a bit better than the electric but that’s just because his voice shines through more. House Rules sounds good that way also so its just a great song. He’s paid his dues and deserves to find real success now so I really hope this is it.

This song is the perfect way to start a weekend, or any day for that matter! It brings your spirits up and makes you smile. I love all of Christian’s music (as well as his work on Leverage and other acting projects) and wish him all the success in the world! He deserves it! Plus who else loves his Kanaics (fans) as much as he does? Nobody! You’re the best, Christian!!

While I always enjoy hearing Christian sing anything & everything (yes, I’m a Kaniac LOL), I LOVE “The House Rules.” It’s a great song. I listen to it daily and I never tire of it. Plus, it’s the kind of song that never fails to improve my mood (even if I’m already in a great one).

This Kaniac has put The House Rules, and all other available Christian Kane songs in all four cars in her driveway. No one has to be Kane deprived.

What’s better than listening to this track? Yup, he’s coming to Oregon this weekend and a few hundred of us get to hear The House Rules in person! If you ever get that option, take it! Predictions are that Christian Kane and Kane will all be at the CMAs next year, both as performers and award winners.

Although I am not a fan of country music, I love Christian Kane’s music. He has a unique sound and a powerful voice. The songs are genuine and from the heart. This is a great song, and I hope it and the band get the attention they deserve.

“House Rules” always gives me a jolt of energy when I need it and a big pick-me-up when I’m feeling down. This song needs to be on every country playlist in the country!

But I also love his ballads, when the real power of his voice just shines through. His songs tell stories, and his voice reaches into the listener and makes them feel what he’s singing. “Thinking of You” and “Making Circles” get me every time.

It’s great to see Christian getting the notice he deserves. Here’s hoping more stations sit up and take notice, and help him gain success!

That is totally da meaning of the song! The only I disagree with is the fact that u said he’s got ‘some’ credit as an actor. That’s a lie! He’s got a lot of credit as an actor, playing in things like Leverage! Not to mention one of the most succesful series in the late 1990s to early 21st century, Angel.

@Caitlyn – No disrespect to Christian on his acting. He’s got a long list of accomplishments there. Now it looks like he’s on his way to being a country star too.

Thank you for this. Christian’s been around for a long time but he seems to finally be getting some MUCH deserved attention for his music. I asked him at the “Leverage” Con which came first, acting or music? He said acting but that music was something that he always wanted in addition to his acting. I think that he’s made his mark in both arenas and I for one can’t see what he does next.

This man is amazing. Truly a Renaissance man in every way. And a Southern Gentleman to boot. Bestill my beating heart!

Chris (if u don’t mind) is the best actor and singer I’ve ever know. His voice is so soothing and coming. His eyes r so dreamy. He has a very small family. He has one family. Try having 4 very very big families and see how u do. When I was little my little sister Lynn and I moved around a lot too. If I was well know as Chris is I would not want my like out there ether. Kane do u really get the butterflies before u go out on stage like n your video The House Rules? Or was that port of the video? Cause that would mean u r human and like everyone else. Just a really good actor and singer and song writer. I hope to get to see one of your shows or may be u could come to Lenawee County Michigan. Bet u to busy though to come to pore Michigan. If so have fun and b safe. Jewels Michigan 49286-1459 P.S. you look like an angel to me.
