Clint Eastwood – Jessie James Decker
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this one. I really wasn’t sure what the song would be about until things got started. The song is about how sometimes women, or at least this woman, thinks that all men should be more like Clint Eastwood.
I’m definitely a fan of Clint. The man is successful and always demanded respect in his career and personal life. When he walked into a room you could always tell that people knew that they should respect him.
So I get that part of the appeal in the song. We’re men and we all have our faults and sometimes it would be good to look back on how real men like Clint Eastwood acted and carried themselves through life.
The song was kind of rolling along and toward the end I caught myself singing along with the main hook. I didn’t see that coming at first, but the song is catchier than I would have thought at first. It’s a good song and I’ll be curious to see how well it does on the charts.
I think one thing this song has going for it is the fact that the charts now take into consideration online streams. It’s not just about radio anymore and that should artists like Jessie.
