A sad song from Clinton Gregory
Every once in a while you hear a really sad country song. There has always been a place in country music for sadness because people go through sadness every day. For each of us there are good days and bad days. Sometimes it’s the songs that help us get through. We realize we aren’t the only ones out there having bad days and in a way just knowing that is some bit of help.
That’s how I feel about She Did by Clinton Gregory. I think you’re really going to like this one.

It’s a story song about a guy that was living the perfect life. He was busy working and he found a woman that loved him for everything he was. That’s all a man can ask for in this life. You hope to make a little life for yourself and find someone to share it with. That’s what it’s all about right there. That’s what happiness is.
But it can all be taken away. We learn in the song that the woman dies and takes everything the man had with her when she goes. The song is not talking about possessions and physical things. It’s talking about the love that he had for her and really his will to live. Sure, he goes on now the best he can but there is only so much he can do. The love of his life is gone.
This is a great country record. I hope you enjoy it because it deserves to be heard.
