It was always curious to me that Jason Michael Carroll was dropped from his record deal.
After a handful of hits and two albums that sold well you would have thought he was just getting started.
There are rarely reasons provided when artists part ways with labels. I’m not sure what happened, but it seemed a little off.
Anyway, it’s good to have Jason Michael Carroll still active out there making music. He continues to find great songs including this one. Maybe this one can find some success on the charts even if it doesn’t have the push of a major label.
Close Enough – Jason Michael Carroll
Jason tones things down a little with this song. The production is somewhat low key. The vocals are too. It’s a song that focuses on the story and the feeling in the song.
That story seems to be kind of sad. You have a guy that’s been struggling to get close to a girl, but he must have messed up somewhere along the way because she’s gone and now he can’t get her back to where she’s close enough to him.
It’s a really good song. Even though the music and lyrics are toned down a little you still get a great melody that you can sing along with. It’s a good song that would have been a hit if Jason were still on a major label.
Will have to see if he can push this one up the charts on his own.
What do you think of the new song?
