Kezia Gill

An international flavor.

Here is a country artist from the UK. It’s pretty cool how country music can spread across the world. I’m guilty of feeling that country music belongs to America, but that’s definitely not the case.

Throughout country music’s history there have been artists from all over. Many from Canada and Mexico and a few from Europe. And of course we have Keith Urban.

This new artist is Kezia Gill. She has a new album out and there are some really great songs on it. I thought I would pick one that kind of stood out to me to share with you.

Coffee How You Like It – Kezia Gill

You’re not sure at first with this song exactly what it will be about. But it’s about unrequited love. You have a woman that is ready to move forward with this guy. From her point of view things have been going well. She’s been giving everything she has to this guy. She wants to know more about him. She wants to share her life with him.

But in the end the guy doesn’t seem to have the same feelings. Maybe he’s using her. But maybe he’s just kind of stuck and not sure how he should end it. He can see that she has feelings, but he’s just not in the same place.

That makes this a sad country song. Unfortunately, many people have gone through this situation and many more will int he future. It’s just the way it goes in life many times.

This is a good song from an international country artist. I like it.
