Cole Taylor is proving to be a great singer/songwriter.
One of my favorite songs of 2016 was Take A Drink by Cole Taylor. That song was incredibly catchy. It also did pretty well on our CML Chart.
So fans obviously were digging it.
Now Cole is back with a new song. This one came out in late 2016. I’m still catching up on the songs that came out last fall, but we’ll get to this one.
I like it. It’s another good one.
Cold Beer – Cole Taylor
I wasn’t sure which way this song was going to go. It could have been the usual Luke Bryan/Cole Swindell kind of song about drinking cold beer by the bonfire and all that stuff.
And don’t get me wrong…I love those songs.
But it’s kind of cool that Cole went in a little bit different of a direction.
This song is about two people kind of digging each other. They’re falling in love and it’s kind of the Romeo and Juliet scenario. They’re opposites. She’s from the city. He’s from the country. It’s not supposed to be. They’re not supposed to be feeling each other and liking each other and all that.
But it’s going well so far. They’re wondering if this could mean a future for the two of them.
So it’s a pretty cool song. Cole put it all together with a great melody and really a killer chorus. I think this one will do just as well as Take A Drink. I don’t think Cole has a major label on his side yet, but can that really be that far behind?
What do you think of this one?
