Colt Ford’s 6th studio album “Love Hope Faith” hit stores May 5th 2017.
Coming together was a common theme on this album of the 13 tracks on the album Colt has several of country’s best on several of them from rising stars Granger Smith and Tyler Farr to Brad Paisley and Toby Keith. This album has something for everyone.
“I feel more confident than ever as an artist,” says Ford.
The one-time golf pro (yes you read it right) and Georgia native says “I’m just trying to bring people together,” Colt who still frequents the links and the co-founder/owner of his own Average Joes Entertainment.
Front to back this album is packed full with songs like “dynamite” reference songs from the Scorpions, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson and Jay Z that will have you updating you play list with some classics. “My Truck” with Tyler Farr will make you crack a smile and wonder: Did I hear that right?
You may want to put the red solo cup down as “Time Flies” with Toby Keith will have you looking for the volume knob to turn it up a bit.
The first single from the album, “4 Lane Gone”, has been getting some air play since its release in November but Colt is no stranger to not getting air play and lack of award show accolades just drives him harder.
“I’ve given it my best shot. Some of that outsider thing is tongue-in-cheek, but some of it is true. I’m unbelievably accepted by artists and songwriters. There’s no one I can’t work with. They know I’m real. I’ve built those relationships over time, and I feel I’ve created a body of work.”
It was great listening to this album. I got about half way into the tracks when I went to look for the buy button. You don’t have to wait you can get it right now. But nothing compares to seeing an artist live and Colt is on a huge tour right now 34 show between now and the end of October.
