So I’m not familiar with Crowder. But it seems like I should be because all of his stuff around the web has tons of followers and fans. So obviously I’ve been missing out on something. That brought me to this song and specifically to this performance on the Grand Ole Opry, which was great.
Check it out.
Come As You Are – Crowder
If you’re like me you were probably expecting to see some really cool bluegrass version of the Nirvana song, but that wasn’t the case. But I can’t say that I’m disappointed because this original Crowder song is really good.
There are obviously some spiritual feelings in the lyrics and in the music. I think the music is the big part that first grabs you. You can feel the emotion and the desperation in the music. It puts you in a certain mood where there is some hope.
The song seems to be about the idea of forgiveness and acceptance. We live in a world today where many of us aren’t really that accepting of one another. Well, maybe it’s a minority that make it seem that way. Because I come across people all the time that are very accepting and nice to others.
To me, that’s what this song is going to be about. It’s about people accepting and loving people. And that’s pretty cool. Great job on this song and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
