Keith Urban Come Back To Me

Here is a song that won’t be a single for Keith Urban.

Wednesdays are usually reserved for album cuts that don’t make it to singles. And this one kind of snuck up on me because I was getting ready to review it as Keith Urban’s next single, but before I could Keith was releasing his actual next single.

The video came out for this song a few weeks ago. I thought it would be one more single off Fuse, but it turns out that Keith got his hands on the John song and now that’s out and running.

But maybe releasing this video was just a little way to release a great song. Sometimes artists have been doing that lately.

So let’s check it out.

Come Back To Me – Keith Urban

There is a lot of emotion in this track. You have a guy in a heart wrenching situation. He loves this woman so much that it hurts him and it really hurts him now because she has dreams and needs to do things and he has to let her go.

It actually sounds like he has let her go. She’s already out there doing what she wants to do and he’s back home in love and letting her know in his thoughts that she can come back to him. He’ll be there waiting.

As usual Keith nails the performance and there are some pretty cool guitar licks on this one. It’s like a rock ballad from the late ’80s and early ’90s a bit with the high screams, but it really adds well to the emotion of this one.

Great song that hopefully doesn’t get lost in the shuffle with fans.

CML Points: 92/100

I’m a fan of Country Music for its emotionanl content . I not only like Keith Urban’s music, I really like him as a person. I have a favor to ask you. Chris Mathieu just released an album “The Seeker” which has some amazing songs. Two in particular blew my mind: She Don’t Mind, and Nobody Else.
Fuull Disclosure: Chris Mathieu is my son, which is why I want your opinion, which I respect. I want to know if it’s my paternal bias, or his songs are really as good as I think they are. I would really appreaciate your honesty.
The Seeker songs ca be be found at Bandcamp or iTune (links below).
    Thanks.
