Jessie James had a hit a few years ago with her single, Wanted. The song made the top 25 on the pop charts and also rose up the dance charts. She’s also had a few top 50 hits in recent years on the country charts.
Jessie has continued releasing music in that time and she’s also fallen in love and just became a mom for the first time. That must be exciting for her and her husband, Jets wide receiver Eric Decker. And now she has brand new music out that comes with a new outlook on life.
Give this one a listen or two and see what you think.
Coming Home by Jessie James Decker
The song obviously has important meaning for Jessie and her family. Eric’s job requires him to be working all the time and during the season he’s on the road for at least eight weeks. That’s quite the requirement, but then you have Jessie’s career, which probably takes her on the road even more for radio tours, shows and other publicity commitments.
You can imagine that the idea of coming home is probably the best thing in the world. Just being able to spend time with the one you love is all you look forward too. And I think this will connect with a lot of people out there. It could be that your job takes you away for some time during the year or that you’re in a long distance relationship with the one you love.
Great song. Touching ballad. I think Jessie’s fans are really going to like this one and it sounds like her new EP is already getting plenty of plays from her fans.
