A blizzard struck the Midwest earlier this winter and rock/country/folk/Americana artist Corey Koehler decided to make the best of his snow day by writing a song.
My favorite part is the guitar after the vocals end. It’s kind of reminds me of the Eagles or Dave Matthews for some reason. I’m not sure if that’s an accurate comparison – just an off the cuff thought when I heard the song.
I think it’s great when artists make videos like this. It gives fans a little extra look at what it’s like to really be an artist. Writing songs whenever the ideas come about.
I Think I’ll Stay (Blizzard Song) – Corey Koehler
I remember when the blizzard hit I was actually out on the ice, fishing with some buddies. Everyone else was caught in the storm though. It snowed a lot of folks in for hours and even a couple days. It was a hectic weekend.
Corey Koehler doesn’t like music labels. His influences come from all directions in the music world. There seems to be a bit of country, rock, and folk mixed in his voice and lyrics. The stories he shares are about common situations we all come across in life.

Bonus Video: Cold Shoulder
This song cracks me up. I love the idea of a guy heading out to have a few cold ones with his buddies only to come home to that cold shoulder. I’m sure there are more than a few guys that have seen this situation far too often.
