If you’ve been listening to country radio or watching country videos you’ve probably heard and seen an interesting new track.
The song is Country Strong
It’s always exciting (for country fans like me at least) when movies centered around country music are released. I love listening to the songs and watching the movie. Country music fits well into movies. Country music is the soundtrack to most of our lives so movies with country music seem to have a bit of added reality to them.
Country Strong
The movie looks to be a story of a seasoned country star looking to fight off demons while getting stardom back. There is the husband and manager working to mend fences with his wife and star. There are also two interesting young stars. It looks like that could lead to some interesting situations in the movie.

Some good stuff there it seems. Country movies have always been hit or miss. Two great ones are Pure Country and the more recent Crazy Heart, which won some awards. It’ll be tough for Country Strong to follow up Crazy Heart.
I’m excited about the movie and will for sure head to the theater to see it. What has me interested right now is the soundtrack.

Those are some impressive names. I love that Hank Jr. is on there along with each of the stars in the movie: Gwyneth, Tim, Garrett, and Leighton. It should also be noted that the great Vince Gill sings backing vocals on Country Strong with Gwyneth.
I like seeing a new tune from Faith. She hasn’t put out too much new material of late.
The now single Ronnie Dunn also makes an appearance on a classic country cheating song.
