Are you ready to crank it up?
So I’m a fan of golf. I was watching a highlight from Morning Drive this morning, which is the morning show on The Golf Channel. And I they had Colt Ford on the show. You may or may not know that Colt’s first love in the world was golf. He played college golf and then tried to make it on the big tour for a few years. Then he became a teaching professional before finding his huge success in country music.
But anyway, that got me thinking it was time to review another one of Colt’s latest songs. Her it is.
Crank It Up – Colt Ford
Now I think that song is pretty cool. I wasn’t sure about it at first because some of the lyrics are things we’ve heard before. You have Bacardi and Party being rhymed again. You have a mention of dancing on the flatbed of the truck.
But in the end it works out. This song makes you feel like dancing and there isn’t a lot of country music that does that. But Colt knows what his audience wants and he keeps finding new ways to give it to them. You can see from this video that people are up out of their seats rocking back and forth.
You just don’t get that at many country shows and it’s pretty cool that a former professional golfer made his way in the country world while bringing in a variety of influencers. I love it.
