Thomas Rhett is off to a fast start to his country career…now. I remember when he was signed to Valory and all the expectations were for his singles to fly up the charts. He did have a couple top 20 songs, but he really wasn’t getting that buzz. Then he got his first number one and he hasn’t looked back with two more number ones. Now it’s time for the next single, the first off his new record.
Crash And Burn – Thomas Rhett
I don’t know if I’ve ever heard a country song like this before. It’s like something out of the pop jukebox from the ’60s and ’70s. There is whistling, which I always love and there is a really catchy beat and melody. You kind of feel like you need to dance around the room with this one.
I’m sure there have been songs like this in country music before, but I can’t think of any. The closest thing it comes to today would be Bruno Mars and what he’s been doing, but this one in country music is pretty risky, but I think people are going to dig it.
Thomas Rhett has always been willing to experiment with music. He’s been in rock bands. He’s always talked about his love for hip hop. He’s looking for a fresh sound and that can usually work out well in the short and long-term for an artist.
I like this song. I think it’s going to do well. What do you think?
Chart Estimate: #1

I agree, Roger. Something different.
