I’m a big fan of Colt Ford. Most importantly I like what he brings to country music. Country has always been about blending different styles. It’s kind of been a melting pot over the years and I like that.
Colt brings his own style and it’s really caught on the last few years. I wouldn’t put him in the major star category. He’s struggled to get radio play, but what he’s accomplished as an independent artist is impressive.
Here is his latest video.
Cut ‘Em All – Colt Ford
It’s another catchy song from Colt Ford. That’s the thing about his music. It just about always makes me kind of groove back and forth.
I remember reading an interview or maybe multiple interviews where Colt talked about his inspiration for his music. He said that he always saw kids from small towns rocking to country and rap in the parking lots. He wanted to make music that was just for them.
And he continues to do that. I could easily see kids rocking to this music while sitting on their tailgates just hanging out and having some fun.
I don’t follow Duck Dynasty so I’m a little unfamiliar with Willie Robertson. I know about them a little bit and definitely respect what Willie has done for his family and business. You’ll just have to tell me if this song is something those folks started as a saying or something.
Otherwise it’s about the country life and I think how country folks don’t take no business from anybody.
