Moms are under appreciated it seems.
Newcomer David St. Romain has a new song I heard this past week for the first time on radio. The track is a hug for his mom. It may have taken him awhile to finally break down and thank her, but the important thing is he now realizes the sacrifices she made for him.
I thought I recognized the name David St. Romain and it turns out he was a contestant on Nashville Star in 2007. He too third that year. The show has churned out some popular alums including Miranda Lambert and Chris Young. Buddy Jewell had a few big hits on the charts also. Now David St. Romain is looking to chose those folks as another successful alum of the popular talent show.
With Twenty Years Late David is looking back at all the things his mom did for him over the years. She worked long hours to raise him and his brothers. He realizes now all the good things she did for him to make sure he had a good life growing up. Back then he took it for granted, but now he knows it’s time to thank his mom for all the sacrifice she made for him.
Really it seems all moms want in life is for their kids to succeed. With Twenty Years Late David acknowledges his mom was always supporting him with his dreams. Now with a song for her it seems he might have a legitimate hit on his hands and I’m sure mom is very proud.
Hopefully for David and his mom this song becomes a hit before it’s twenty years too late. I think it will.
