Tim McGraw just racked up another number one hit. He’s been doing this now for 20+ years with huge hits on the charts. He’s averaging more than one number one per year and that’s something that people like George Strait, Toby Keith and only a few others have done over the years.
Tim is a legend and he’s coming right out with another solid song. It’s kind of in the vein of what he’s been doing and I like it.
Diamond Rings And Old Barstools – Tim McGraw
Tim McGraw has always been an interesting artist. I’ve been going back and listening to McGraw’s studio albums and he’s always mixed kind of different-sounding songs with some traditional country music that was big in the ’90s and has kind of been one of Tim’s things over the years.
His recent hits have been a little more toward the traditional side especially with Shotgun Rider and Meanwhile Back At Mama’s. I think this new one could be even a little more country. The story is very country and the style and sound have traditional elements to them.
It’s something that many artists really aren’t doing and Tim has always been one to be different. He kind of sees how things are going and looks for something that maybe others aren’t doing. But he always looks for a good song that sounds good and this song sure does sound good.
What do you think of the track? Is it a big hit?
