This one has been getting some attention down in Texas.
If you’re ever looking for some more traditional sounding country music just see what’s going on down in Texas. They have stuck with their roots for some time. I don’t really remember the last time we had an influx of Texans in country music.
Maybe it’s time we have another little influx. The ’90s had a bunch and mainstream country was better off for it.
Anyway, here is an artist that has had a song of his climbing up the Texas country chart. I can see why people have been liking this one.
Don’t Mess With Texas – Bradley Banning
I wasn’t sure what direction this song would go. I thought maybe it would be a tough guy kind of anthem. Maybe something that Brantley Gilbert would put out. He kind of has that style.
But this one was much more George Strait or Easton Corbin. With a little extra Texas style throw in there.
The song is about living life in Texas. All the things they do down there. Kind of the unwritten rules that you would only really know if you lived in Texas. There are just some things you do and things you don’t do.
This song is a nice little ode to the Texas lifestyle. But even if you’re not from Texas I think you can relate to the theme in the song. Every town across this country has their own little unwritten rules. It’s what makes us all the same, but also a little unique too.
I hope this song means big things for Bradley Banning. He’s off to a great start already.
