Some new blood in the country world.

No that is not Billy Ray Cyrus in the middle. The band is Due West and they have a new single out at country radio. The track seems to be getting some positive attention from fans and the hopes appear high for this up and coming group.

When The Smoke Clears is the story of two guys. One of the guys is thinking about doing something to cross the line. He is going to cheat on his wife. His buddy is trying to convince him otherwise. The friend is trying to convince him that one night is not worth throwing about a love built over years and years.

The man giving the advice in When The Smoke Clears has a history. He’s been in the shoes before. From what I can gather the guy had his own affair. There was even a son in the equation, but when things went sour he was unable to be there for his own blood. Now the son is 25 years old and doesn’t even know who his dad is.

Now we have some real cheating and drama going on. The song is slow moving and that gives it a unique charm. The vocals are powerful and the lead singer gets things across well. It’s almost as if he’s got the authenticity to sing about this topic. I don’t know that for sure – only guessing since he sings the song so well.

When The Smoke Clears has a sound unlike what is on radio right now. I think so at least. For that reason I think there is an outside chance this song makes a run on the charts.
