Rascal Flatts has a new duet partner.
The guys have been doing some interesting things on their latest album – Nothing Like This. They’re on a new label and they’ve seemed rejuvenated with their new surroundings. Earlier this year the guys did a duet with Justin Bieber and now they have another another duet out at radio and country fans are loving it.
The new track is [easyazon-link asin=”B004B2P0Q2″]Easy[/easyazon-link], but easy is not pocket full of sunshine for these guys…
Easy – Rascal Flatts
Do your recognize the duet partner on the track?
It’s [easyazon-link asin=”B0013D8BK4″]Pocketful Of Sunshine[/easyazon-link] and [easyazon-link asin=”B000CD0P8M”]Unwritten[/easyazon-link] singer Natasha Bedingfield. Natasha has been having a very successful international pop career over the last few years. Now she’s joining Rascal Flatts for a great duet and the song is already taking off after just a week or so on the charts.
The song – [easyazon-link asin=”B004B2P0Q2″]Easy[/easyazon-link] – is about a breakup. A guy and girl have recently broken up. They are going about their lives and trying to convince themselves it will be easy. Smart people know breakups are never, never easy. Sure, you go out on Friday nights and try to put on a smiling face. When you see your ex out on the town you both try to put up a good front to make it seem like you’re doing alright.
And that’s when my favorite line of the song comes in – But what she, what she don’t know is how hard it is to make it look so easy.
That’s the truth right there. It’s hard to make it look like things are easy in life. Usually there are some pretty strong things happening below the surface with your emotions. When you breakup you go through the emotions of wondering if you should have broken up. You want to be back with the person. You aren’t sure you can be single. You aren’t sure how to be single.
All of those feelings going on makes things a mess under your skin.
And it’s definitely not easy to make dealing with it look easy.
