Here is one from a great new artist.
I have to apologize about this one. I’ve been listening to this song from Carly Pearce for what seems like at least a little while now.
I thought I had already shared my thoughts here on the site, but after a quick search I realized that I had not.
It’s definitely one that you’ll want to check out. It looks like Carly is signed with the Big Machine group. They’ve been having incredible success including with new artists.
So let’s check this one out.

I think the pendulum is swinging back a little in country music. I think that things are starting to get a little more traditional.
I know that this one is not entirely traditional, but the sounds are there. Carly has a great country voice and this is definitely a tear in your beer type of country song.
From what I can gather the lyrics are about a girl that’s been through a breakup. Or a guy has kind of left her without really giving her much thought.
To her, though, their encounter and time together was impactful. She remembers everything about their relationship. It might not mean that much to him, but it’s really crushing her.
That’s unfortunately the way it goes with love sometimes. One person is all in with everything they have and the other just doesn’t feel the same way.
That’s kind of what I’m getting from this song. You’ll have to let me know how you’re interpreting it.
Either way, the sound is what gets me. A great song.
